Description Several men in work clothes stand posing for the camera in front of stacked logs. The Somass Hotel is in the upper left background. These men were involved in construction of the railbed, which was apparently made of logs because of the swampy terrain. 7 men stand on top of the railbed , and 6 stand below it. The 5th man to the right in the back row is identified as Henry Davey, Roy Forsythe's uncle. The 5th man to the right in the front row is identified as Fred Rollin. Written on the bottom of the image is: "[...] R.R. Construction / at Port Alberni B.C. Photo by Blair [...]". Written on back of mounting card: "[...] BLAIR'S PHOTOGRAPHS / G.T.P.
